About Floyd
"Spending 9 years inside my Chicago studio has refined my understanding of what makes a player click. I hold a degree from Berklee but prefer talking about how scales and modes actually sound on the fretboard. Teaching rhythm guitar and songwriting provides the bedrock for everything else I do.
Learning is often messy. I focus on rock, blues, and modern styles like John Mayer to keep things grounded. My goal is to get you playing lead guitar or barre chords without the usual headache. Sometimes I just let the music speak for itself."

"Getting better at guitar should feel more like a jam session than a history lecture. Studying theory rarely helps you play a solo effectively if you ignore the pentatonics.
You get a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum. My 9 years of teaching shaped this specific approach.
I lean on my Berklee training to strip away the fluff so we hit the fretboard immediately. It works well if you want to play rock or blues. Just show up ready to play."
