About Dean
I'm currently the Hardware Services Manager at Berklee College of Music, where I combine my passion for technology with my love of music. I'm a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music producer. I'm currently producing my own original album, performing and recording the majority of the instruments myself.
My musical roots are grounded in blues and classic rock, with artists like Robert Johnson, BB King, Son House, and Muddy Waters serving as major influences. I enjoy helping students not only learn guitar but also understand the creative process behind songwriting, recording, and music production. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time, looking to improve your playing, or interested in writing and producing your own music, I strive to make lessons engaging, practical, and tailored to your goals.
When I'm not making music, my wife, our three children, and I spend our weekends working on our small family farm. That balance of family, creativity, and hands-on work shapes both my teaching style and my approach to music.
I believe learning music should be inspiring, rewarding, and fun, and I look forward to helping students of all ages and skill levels discover their own musical voice.
