I believe it is the job of a teacher to inspire, facilitate and encourage the progress of their students
I believe that we are *always* a student of our instrument and, with that, I am always trying to improve myself as a teacher, as well as a guitar player
Everyone has the potential to learn a musical instrument, and everyone has the capacity to develop their own voice, and helping students to achieve that is my utmost focus as a teacher

Hi I'm David, I have taught guitar for over 10 years now. I am comfortable teaching a range of modern styles and sub genres from acoustic blues to rock, country to neo soul
Typically, lessons are 30 mins or 1 hour
I graduated from Brighton Institute of Modern Music in 2013 with a BA Hons in professional musicianship. Since that time, I have always taught and played music full time. I have worked in several schools, as well as taught privately, and have taught students across al age groups and abilities during that time.
I am equally happy teaching students grade material, or not. Lessons are always tailored to individual students. I have taught numerous students to a grade 8 standard, but I have also brought students to an equally high standards without following grade material.
Whatever your age, ability or goals - I will always tailor the lesson to you and your goals. I will never push a style of guitar or a focus on a student that they are uncomfortable with. The satisfcation of teaching, for me, is helping students to realise their own goals on the instrument - and those are not my place to dictate.
