About Stelios

Stelios studied classical guitar with Graham Anthony Devine and Carlos Bonell of the Royal College of Music. He also studied Harmony, Counterpoint and Orchestration. He is a postgraduate of the Trinity Laban conservatoire in London.

Guitarist and composer Stelios Kyriakidis had his music featured on BBC Radio and regularly broadcast ever since. His music for guitar is a blend of all his varied influences such as neoclassical, folk and cinematic music. Copenhagen, from the 508 Days album, entered the iTunes United Kingdom Classical Charts at no.34. I’ll Split Mine With You, from the same album, has been included in the compilation CD album ‘Guitar Tenderness’, released in Japan by Inpartmaint records. The Minor7th magazine stated that “Stelios has a delightful way of creating bright, shimmering melodies that you want to hear again”.

Stelios has performed in London venues such as the Green Note, Theatreship and St Bride’s church as well as across the UK and internationally at the Somerset Jazz Festival, Sofar Sounds (Brighton & Bristol), 21st Century Guitar Conference (Indianapolis, USA), Herman Schulz Cafe (Berlin, DE) and Spiti Art Bar (Athens, GR), among others.

About the lesson

I am DBS checked and have over 17 years of experience of teaching in schools and privately.

As a composer and regular performer, along with classical guitar and theory tuition, I can also help you with writing songs/pieces, improvising, organisation of musical ideas and how to best perform them.

I offer lessons in: Classical and/or Acoustic Guitar (all levels), Music Theory (up to Grade 5), Creativity (songwriting, composition, improvisation) and Preparation for ABRSM or Trinity exams with a 100% rate in Merit or Distinction.
