About Dave

I was born into a musical family and started playing guitar at the age of five. Initially, I was tutored by my father and spent much time working out my favourite songs by ear, but eventually began receiving private tuition. Through my adolescence I ran the gamut of guitar grades while gigging around the country with various bands, achieving my diploma at 20. My focus is currently live work and teaching.

About the lesson

I teach electric/acoustic guitar to all levels of player. I have a Diploma in Electric Guitar Playing and 20+ years of experience in many genres including rock, pop, jazz, blues, folk and country. Lessons will be tailored to each individual's aspirations. Music theory and ear training are included as standard, if desired. Half an hour - hour lessons are my recommendation for beginners, but longer study sessions may occasionally be helpful for more advanced players and/or to deep dive on concepts.
