About Arwen

I am a professional Guzheng tutor with over 20 years of playing experience, with years of formal training in China and continued musical development in the UK.

I teach students from Grades 1-10 through to concert level, and have extensive experience working with learners of all ages.

As an ABRSM-qualified tutor fluent in both Mandarin and English, I offer professional, tailored lessons in both traditional Guzheng repertoire and modern pop adaptations.

My teaching approach is patient, structured, and adapted to each student's level, goals, and preferred language.

我是一名专业古筝教师，拥有二十多年的古筝演奏经验. 曾在中国接受多年系统训练，并在英国持续精进我的音乐修养。

我教授从一级到十级及演奏级的学生，并在指导各个年龄层的学习者方面拥有丰富经验。

作为一名持有 ABRSM 资质、并能流利使用中英文授课的教师，我提供兼具专业性与针对性的课程，涵盖传统古筝曲目及现代流行改编作品。

我的教学风格耐心、系统，并会根据每位学生的程度、学习目标和语言偏好进行调整。

About the lesson

Musician with over 18 years of playing and teaching experience, and foundational training in China. I work with students of all ages: whether you're a curious beginner, a child building musical foundations, or an adult exploring a new instrument, I will tailor each lesson to your goals, pace, and learning style.

New to Superprof hence the discounted rates.

Lessons are available in Mandarin or English.

I also offer ABRSM Music Theory tuition (Grades 1–5) for those looking to develop their theoretical knowledge alongside practical skills.

Based in East London, I offer in-person lessons locally and can discuss online options for students further afield.
