About Felix

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and I am TEFL certified. My hobbies are teaching, counseling, singing, playing with children, meeting people and watching movies. I speak native English because it is the official language of my country. My greatest motivation to learn and teach the English language came from three sources. The first reason is that it is the official language of my country. Hence, the English language is compulsory in all Nigerian academic institutions. Secondly, I was once mocked by my friends for speaking bad English as a child. It was so hurtful that I determined to learn and teach the language. Finally, positive results were seen in some students who were initially novices in the English language but after attending my free classes for some months, they were able to read and write. These motivated me to go online as an English tutor and I started teaching the English Language online almost a year ago. However, I have been teaching the language voluntarily for almost 15 years. I am optimistic and a good listener with readiness to help you maximize your time by giving you the best.

About the lesson

My method starts with building a good and healthy relationship with my students especially the first-timer. I always like to begin class with a new student by initiating a friendly conversation, the conversation will involve some questions and test. Thereby, I will know the level of the student whether he/she is a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. The conversation will also give me a little understanding of the student and the approach I should use to teach him or her.
