I have been a dyslexic tutor for the past four years. I have taught phonics and helped kids to become a better reader through using the spire program and the OrtonGillingham system.

About Cortney
I am 19 years old and have loved working with kids. This is one of my passions in life to help kids feel more confident in their reading. I feel so grateful to have found a passion at such a young age but I truly do love seeing feel more confident and excited about learning how to be a better reading and speller. Through years of working i have seen kids not even know the alphabet to knowing have to reading and write with fluency. I have worked with dyslexics and non-dyslexics for the past four years.

I have kids of all ages make huge progress in months. I use a specific program that has helped kids feel more confident and comfortable learning. The orton gillingham system is a special system that has been proven to help kids with dyslexia. I myself am a dyslexic and have ADHD. I have learned to become a better reader myself and have felt more confident through years of doing these programs. I used to work in the only dyslexic tutoring center in southern Utah. Through years of working there has taught me so much.
