About Claire

My name's Claire and I have been an RMN for the past 10 years. I am also the lead in my NHS Trust for Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I am very passionate about holistic care and not using labels such as "attention seeking" within practice.
For the past 3 years I have been clinical lead for my team, and have played a role in developing the knowledge, confidence and skills of our newly qualified staff. I am also the lead for student nurses that have a placement within my team, and offer teaching sessions to them, which has led to amazing feedback.
I often found on placement or uni classroom settings that I wasn't getting the knowledge or skills, due to how busy the clinical environment was, or from poor mentors. This is my way of giving back to those who alsohave poor placements, or who are introverts and feel they can't ask questions on placement. There is absolutely no stupid questions here, and absolutely no judgement.

About the lesson

I will be led by you - what don't you understand, or want to grasp more knowledge, that you are just not being taught at university or from your placement? Let me know and I can plan our sessions around this.
I am a visual learner and finding teaching this way helps too. A lot of the time I will encourage you to think about answers, instead of spoon feeding - we don't learn that way!
Sessions will last an hour. I have 13 years worth of experience after graduating with my BSc.
