About Cheryl

Hello! I am so happy to meet you! My name is Cheryl Romano. MY younger clients often call me Dr. Cheryl. I am an experienced K-12 Teacher since 1996, and have been teaching college and graduate students since 2006! I have been tutoring students since 1992! I am a Doctor of Psychology, (1st year college through Doctorate) and I love learning, and sharing my excitement for education with my students! I believe in my students. I think that is a necessary attribute, seeing my clients successful, in order for them to reach their full potential. My services include tutoring and coaching. They are two different activities, as tutoring is really only about learning. Coaching helps my clients with self esteem, self concept, motivation, and can involve relaxation skills, and a reduction in anxiety and other negative emotions in order to reach his, or her full potential! I would love to help you out. Rather it is with yourself, a child or adult family member or friend, I would love to be your teacher, advocate, and cheerleader! I accept students for 1:1 and group Tutoring, Reading Clubs, Study Skills, Public Speaking, ESL, Presentation Skills, College and related Applications and Mock Interviews.

I am a Doctor of Psychology, and have a degree in public health. I have been teaching university students in psychology since 2006. My students are from community college, through doctorate candidates. I have vast experience with many topics, so can teach to the subject, assessment, study skills, advocacy, and test taking strategies. I would love to help you out. I also give discounts, for extended sessions (longer than 60 minutes), more than one session per week, or more than one student in a session. I give referral credits, and more than 1 student) and lots of resources so you can study apart from cost sessions with me, on the internet. I am always searching for educational programs and activities online to allow for multiple ways of leaning. I know students differ in the way they learn best. I allow my students to call, tweet or text me between sessions, as you study and have questions, or need clarifications or encouragement. These are included, and are not charged; at no cost. I give a 30-min Free Session at no cost to you, so you can find out how you feel about hiring me, and to assess my teaching methods.
