About Sherelle

I am currently a stay home mom, with a young infant and working husband. I am looking for a way to help the community. I have a huge heart for children and parents. Becoming a mom has allowed me to see all the help that us parents need for our wonderful children.

Free Read: Child picks a book and reads out loud, this is mostly to see were the child is in terms of reading, also to get them more confident with reading out loud in a comfortable learning environment. Mistakes are welcomed here!

Letter flash cards: Simple but effective, letters will be arranged A-Z, the child will then practice sounding out the letters as they appear on the flash card. Once mastered I will sometimes mix it up the letters just to see how well they know practicing the sounds.

Part letter sounds: Letters will be placed A-Z next to vowel letters example ba,be,bi,bo,bu child will then practice sounds out the letter combinations.

The magic there letter words: The next phase will be the child learning how to annunciate three letter words, example bat, mat, cat, hat, sat.

Duet reading: Me and the child will practice bounding back and forth reading with one another, this is a fun way to include some play into reading. I will read one word then the child the next word so on and so forth.

Reading Comprehension: I’ll be reading with some slight child interaction. While reading I’ll stop in the middle to ask questions like, “What do you think will happen next? What do you think of the characters so far? Is this the good guy or bad guy?”

Let’s tell a story: Finally some more interactive fun for your kido! This will wrap each of our lesson up with a fun little game called “Let’s tell a story”. The child will be ask to has a small bag with random objects inside, they will then pull objects out of the bag to tell a story. This is a great way for kids to use their imagination and to associate telling stories with reading.

Mastered words complete report: This will be a weekly summary report of all that your child has learned for that week, and for following weeks to come. Including words they have mastered or areas they need a little more to work on.
