About Yorlenis

As a dedicated tutor with extensive experience teaching low-income students in Barranquilla, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment. My expertise in developing tailored lesson plans, particularly through task-based learning (TBL), ensures that students not only build strong language skills but also gain confidence in real-world communication. I have successfully guided learners at various proficiency levels, including students with special needs, by adapting my teaching strategies to meet their unique challenges. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of language acquisition, empowering students to achieve their full potential. With a strong foundation in educational best practices and a passion for meaningful instruction, I am dedicated to making language learning accessible and impactful for all my students.

About the lesson

I implement a structured yet dynamic teaching approach in my Spanish classes that combines communicative and task-based learning methods to enhance student engagement and language acquisition. A typical lesson plan includes an interactive warm-up, a contextualized vocabulary introduction, guided practice through dialogues or role-playing, and a task-based activity that promotes real-world application. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt lessons to the unique needs of my students, incorporating culturally relevant materials and differentiated instruction to ensure accessibility for all learners. My lessons are designed for beginner to intermediate students, including those with limited educational resources or special learning needs. By fostering a supportive and immersive environment, I help students develop confidence and practical language skills for everyday communication.
