About Alek Yoseph
Hello! My name is Alek, I am currently a classical pianist studying in Anton Bruckner Private University, Linz in the artistic Bachelor's program.
I have been playing piano for the last 6 years, and I have participated in many masterclasses and competitions from around the world. I also have my own YouTube and album for all of my improvisations and classical performances!
For me, teaching is not just about learning notes and techniques, it's about enabling one person to communicate through the art of music to another, changing both the students' and listeners' lives for the better! Music is a way to heal the soul, bring communities together, lighten the atmosphere, and it's also really beneficial for the mind to learn!
I am looking forward to working with you, and let us start our musical journey together!

This lesson is aimed for all types of students, ranging from beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, from ages at least above 10 years old.
We will focus mostly on proper body technique, sound generation, and all of the basic fundamentals for beginner students. We will learn both classical music and pop, to explore interests. I will definitely introduce the students to a lot of wonderful songs from all genres.
For more advanced students, we will work on the piece that the student has prepared, and discuss ideas on how to improve the piece. At the same time, I would encourage you to get creative, and add your own ideas to your pieces! So, we will listen to great world class pianists, so the student will get ideas from their playing style, and incorporate them into their own work.
I mostly teach Classical Music, but I can also teach improvisation and pop music, depending on the students' interests! I would also love to play with the students for fun sometimes, mostly improvisational stuff because it engages creativity. I am very flexible as a teacher, so if you have any questions during the lesson, please feel free to ask anytime!
I will be hosting the lessons in English, because my German is unfortunately not that good.

I definitely do not regret learning with Alek. I learned with him during his few weeks visit to Thailand, and I was able to learn more in those weeks than in 3 years. He was a great teacher because although he was not strict, he made sure I understood concepts and lessons. He allowed our lessons to go at my own pace which enhanced my learning because I was able to balance our lessons with my busy school life. He never pressured me into immediately getting a lesson, and encouraged me to just practice on my own time. He really put thought into the more efficient ways for my personal learning by asking me questions before we started our lessons. Some questions related to how I learn better (through visuals or sound) or my music journey and intentions. Another reason he wasn't as strict was because I do piano as a hobby, however if I were to take piano seriously and enter competitions he would have definitely been more strict in a way that benefits me but does not hurt or discourage me. I really appreciate him as a teacher and would definitely recommend.
Alex is a great teacher - patient and adaptive to student's needs!
Alek was an amazing teacher! He put a lot of thought I to the lessons and was very thorough!
Alek is very patient and he has really good piano skills. Also as I started from zero, he's helping me get all the way from learning the notation to playing the songs. I really recommend him as a piano teacher!
