About Sean

**Over 100 STUDENTS of mine have achieved TOP MARKS (8's/9's/A*/A's) in their English GCSE + A-level exams **

I teach English Literature GCSE and A-level, and was HEAD OF ENGLISH at a TOP LONDON SCHOOL for two years, with sole responsibility for delivering the curriculum.

The majority of my work is with the TOP PRIVATE TUTORING AGENCIES in London, and I have been flown across the world (several times!) to tutor individuals and groups in school/ university entrance tests and interview preparation.

I now only tutor privately, so you can have the experience of a Subject Head giving one-to-one help.

I know what is needed for the exams! I have covered ALL MAJOR SET TEXTS on the main UK syllabi, and have 10 years experience in helping students with their essay and creative writing.

Everything I do is designed towards EXAM SUCCESS: I cover all the key texts in detail, and work extensively on essay technique. It is a skill, like any other, and can be learnt!

My experience:
- 2 years as HEAD OF ENGLISH AND DRAMA at a top London school

- 5 years teaching at Westminster Tutors, one of the TOP SIXTH-FORM COLLEGES IN LONDON

- 4000+ HOURS tutoring experience, mostly working with some of London's TOP PRIVATE AGENCIES

About the lesson

I always tailor my lessons to each individual student, finding out what works best for you. I do not come in with a pre-prepared plan for our first lesson: I see where you are, what learning style works best, how you like to work, and then we go from there. If you want to proceed, I will send you a plan of study.

For long-term exam preparation, I provide a schedule of work for the whole year/term, with specific goals and topics included. If you request it, I an send you FEEDBACK every EVERY lesson.

And I REGULARLY TEST my students, so that we have a concrete MARKER OF PROGRESS, and all of my tutoring is specifically geared toward exam preparation.
