About Laura

Laura Caldas González Languages specialist. Spanish tutor. Native speaker from Madrid. Teaching Spanish since 2014 in English schools. DBS Checked. Head of Department. GCSE and A-Level specialist. (AQA / Edexcel) I also do training for Languages Teachers. More about me: I love languages, and you will realise that in the moment we meet. :) I’ve moved to England in 2014 and since then my passion for languages has been increasing. I believe that languages can change lives, my life won’t be this amazing if I weren’t bilingual. I learnt English from a very young age but it is never too late to learn a second language, on your own pace and with the correct support. That’s why MFL revision is an opportunity for everyone that is curious about learning about other cultures, having fun and feeling that you are able to understand a bit more of Spanish every lesson. I have experience with all range of ages (my eldest student is 73) and with all the levels and academic abilities. 2016-Current Head of Department in a Secondary school. Teacher training provided, specialist in languages. Trained in AQA and Edexcel exam boards. GCSE - A Levels and adult tutoring. 2014-2016 Moved to England, to the beautiful area of North Devon. I fell in love with the English countryside and the people. Spanish teacher in a Secondary School. Tutoring to adults and secondary students. 2010-2014 Teacher training. Languages specialist. University Alcalá de Henares. Volunteer with Red Cross, Summer camp leader, primary and secondary tutoring.

About the lesson

Meaningful learning, more than a Zoom call. Learn through interactive and fun lessons. Developing all your Spanish skills. Mixed with cultural curiosities from a native from Madrid. Practical and targeted lessons I will teach you the skills you will need to travel and order a coffee. Or maybe you will prefer to develop your skills to get a 9 in your GCSE. All you will need to be confident in Spanish. We will cover phonics, speaking, grammar, vocabulary and writing. Giving you tools and tricks to revise after the lessons.
