About Mat
Current PPL helicopter flight instructor in the UK teaching students every day, either on actual flight lessons or ground school across the main subjects.
I have a PPL, CPL, Flight Instructor Rating, and am type rated on the R22, R44 and Cabri G2.

I'm a current flight instructor teaching ground school as well as flying, so I know well the areas that folk have problems with.
I try to break complex subjects down into bite sized chunks. Once we've laid the foundation on these, we'll practice with a number of worked examples until you're super familiar with the methods.
I also try to teach 'gross error' checking where I encourage the student to use their brain rather than memory or calculators to try and understand whether the answers they think are correct actually seem sensible.
