About Erika

My name is Erika and I am an aspiring 16-year old pianist. I have a passion for piano and music in general. Ever since I was little I've been captivated by the enchanting melodies of the piano, I've always wanted to follow in my dads footsteps as a talented musician.

I believe that learning a musical instrument is a unique and enriching skill that holds value to individuals, particularly younger learners. There are numerous benefits that come with learning an instrument such as enhancing your cognitive motor function by stimulating your brain, this improves abilities such as memory, concentration and problem solving skills.

My goal is to share this passion and expand our continuously growing community. I aim to nurture talents for other aspiring pianists, with my 6 years of experience.

About the lesson

I specialize in tutoring beginners of all ages, offering both face-to-face and online sessions. My teaching approach combines structured learning with enjoyable activities to keep students engaged. I prioritize establishing a routine while ensuring each lesson is enjoyable and specific to an individuals needs and interests.

During lessons, I use a variety of techniques to introduce fundamental concepts, such as note reading, rhythm, and technique exercises. I incorporate interactive activities and games to reinforce learning and make the experience enjoyable for students.

Lessons typically range from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the student's age, attention span, and learning goals. My qualifications include over 6 years of experience playing the piano and teaching beginners. I have a strong understanding of music theory, which allows me to effectively guide students through their musical journey.

My lessons are suitable for beginners of all ages who are eager to learn and explore the world of piano playing. Whether you're a child or an adult, my goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you can develop your skills and passion for music.

P.S, I have a Youtube channel called "First Note", with explanations and tutorials. I will be basing most of the lessons off of my complete piano book that can be purchased. I have a trial E-book for free if you wish to trial before purchasing. More info soon.

I also can do 30 minute lessons online or face-to-face (in your home), for the price of $20. Will need to negotiate and personally view your piano/keyboard to ensure that it is functioning well for the lessons.
