About Ryoma

Hello! My name is Ryoma, and I am a native Japanese speaker from Japan. I am currently studying Computer Science in the UK. Living and studying abroad has helped me understand how challenging and exciting it can be to learn a new language and experience a different culture.
I am a friendly and patient person, and I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I believe learning a language should be fun and practical, so I like to communicate with students in a relaxed and supportive way. Since I also use English in my daily life, I can explain Japanese in English when needed, which can be helpful for beginners.
One of my goals is to help students feel confident when speaking Japanese. I understand that many learners feel nervous when speaking a new language, so I try to create a comfortable environment where students feel free to ask questions and practise.
In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching football. Sports are one of my favourite topics to talk about, and I enjoy discussing hobbies, culture, and everyday life. I think these kinds of conversations make language learning more interesting and natural.
I am passionate about sharing Japanese language and culture with others. Whether you are learning Japanese for travel, culture, or personal interest, I would be happy to support you on your learning journey.

About the lesson

My Japanese lessons are friendly, practical, and designed to help students feel confident using Japanese in real situations. I mainly focus on beginners and learners who want to improve their conversation skills. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and asking questions.
In my lessons, we work on important skills such as daily conversation, basic grammar, pronunciation, and useful expressions that native speakers use in everyday life. I try to make lessons practical so that students can use what they learn when travelling to Japan, talking with Japanese people, or enjoying Japanese culture.
I also adjust my teaching style depending on each student’s level and goals. For beginners, I explain grammar clearly and practise simple conversations step by step. For students who want to improve speaking, we can focus more on conversation practice and natural expressions.
I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, so I like to include topics that students are interested in. For example, I enjoy talking about hobbies, culture, and sports during lessons. One of my favourite hobbies is football, so if you like football too, we can practise Japanese while talking about sports and daily life.
My lessons are flexible and supportive, and I will always try to help you learn at your own pace. Whether you are just starting Japanese or want to improve your confidence in speaking, I will do my best to support your learning journey.
