I am a qualified teacher with 6 years of teaching experience in Japan and experience teaching Japanese at a local high school in New Zealand. I value a supportive and personalized approach, taking time to understand each student’s goals, interests, and learning style.
As a native Japanese speaker, I can provide lessons in both Japanese and English, depending on the student’s level and preference. My lessons focus on improving speaking skills, building confidence, and learning natural Japanese expressions.
I can also introduce Japanese culture, customs, and everyday life to help students gain a deeper understanding of Japan. I welcome learners of all ages and levels and aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable environment where everyone feels comfortable learning Japanese.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, level, and interests. My lessons mainly focus on improving speaking skills through conversation practice, helping students build confidence and communicate naturally in Japanese. I also provide support with pronunciation, vocabulary, and useful expressions based on each learner’s needs.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes and are suitable for learners of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced students.
