About ALLISON

I have taught students (ages 10-13) how to use computer technology such as work with applications, and create fun documents. I enjoy teaching business related topics including: Communications, job readiness skills and business writing. I also tutor adults in an ESL literacy program helping them learn English reading and pronunciation. I help students with learning and improve their business English communication skills through a variety of engaging exercises. I assist them with job and career development skills and also help them prepare for the IELTS and TOEIC exams and to obtain a good job or enhance their current job opportunities.

About the lesson

My methodology is to work towards my student’s goals by adapting the material to their needs using different methods to make the lessons as enjoyable and effective as possible. First, I will ask you what you would like to achieve by learning English, along with what you would like me to focus on. If needed, I will give you an assessment, and we will go over the results together so I can create the best lesson plans for you. I am able to help you with: Improve your pronunciation and fluency Business English communication skills Understand stress and intonation Build speaking confidence Improve your listening skills Using Idioms and verbal phrases for business and social Grow your vocabulary through learning Collocations Practice dialogue conversations Speaking, reading and listening practice for IELTS or TOEIC exams.
