About Tiya

I am an A-level student and have grades ranging from C’s to A’s in GCSE’s. I would like to build my experience in teaching as I would like to have a career in teaching or music. I understand that balancing academics with social life and personal life can be very difficult - however I understand that this balance is crucial in life and by tutoring I can help to ease the academic pressure by working through the questions and essays with a less stressful, more productive approach.

About the lesson

Firstly we will discuss the question or problem and see what ideas there are on how to solve it then we will work through the question and I will provide support for understanding when needed. I will ask about the question or project - then we will break down the question and discuss what areas I can provide support in and any ideas the student already has on how to answer the question. If it is still unclear I will keep trying to find different ways to make it easier to understand. Then we can think about what the next steps are and I will give prompts when needed. If the student is still finding it difficult to approach the question or finds it unclear I will try different strategies and methods to help to the best of my abilities. I will also be able to recommend good sites for the subject to further develop their learning!
