About Moya
I’ve supported many classmates and students over the years, and I’ve learned how important it is to have someone patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I’m dyslexic, so I understand the challenges that can come with reading and writing. Because of this, I’ve developed my own strategies to thrive—and I love helping others who may be struggling in similar ways. I’m especially passionate about supporting students who find English difficult, those with literacy challenges, or learners for whom English is not their first language. I know how much a calm, understanding tutor can change someone’s confidence and performance. I approach every lesson with empathy, positivity, and a genuine desire to help students succeed in a way that feels achievable and stress-free.

My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and designed to work at your pace. I create a calm, non-anxious environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence without pressure. Each lesson is personalised—whether you prefer step-by-step explanations, conversation-based learning, or lots of practice questions.
For exam preparation, I focus on repetition, consistent practice, and breaking big tasks into manageable, easy-to-understand steps. Lessons usually run 45–60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to review content, practise skills, and go over anything you’re unsure about. My sessions are ideal for high school and university students needing support with English, literacy, essay writing, reading comprehension, or general exam prep.
