About Dasvivium
Theory is not a cold set of rules written in a dusty book. It is a map for the sounds you already hear in your head. I have worked with 340 students, including many adults and self-taught players who crave a clear structure for their practice.
My approach centers on ear training, chord transitions, and finding the right modes to express your own songwriting. After 13 years of performing, I find that simplicity often yields the most honest results. I do not promise perfection, but I do promise that we will find the logic behind the music you love.

Good teaching requires meeting a player exactly where they are currently standing in their development. Since earning my BM Music Performance, I have learned that the best way to explain complex guitar theory is to treat it as a conversation rather than a lecture.
We observe how music is constructed by listening to the masters of the protest song canon and then applying those same shapes to your own original work. Because my background is rooted in the oral tradition, we spend a good deal of time learning how to hear changes before we even attempt to play them. This method works well for the intermediate students and adults I work with who want to understand the engine under the hood of their favorite songs. We will keep the focus on making sure your hands and your ears are working in tandem to support your creative growth.
