I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with an MA in Early Childhood Education and over 7 years experience teaching children aged 3–7. I specialise in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and offer tailored, engaging tuition designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. I specialise in teaching early reading, writing, and maths to children aged 3–7, with a strong focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. My approach is rooted in play-based learning, which helps young learners explore and develop skills naturally while having fun. For early reading, I use evidence-based phonics methods, including Read Write Inc. and Little Wandle, tailoring lessons to each child’s pace and needs. I focus on building strong letter-sound knowledge, blending skills, and reading fluency, encouraging confidence and a love for stories. In writing, I help children develop fine motor skills and proper letter formation through enjoyable, hands-on activities. I support them as they progress from mark-making to forming letters, words, and simple sentences, fostering creativity and communication. For maths, I emphasise practical, play-based activities that develop number sense, counting, shape recognition, and basic problem-solving. My goal is to build children’s confidence and curiosity in maths, making it accessible and relevant to their everyday experiences. With experience supporting children with additional needs, I adapt my teaching methods to ensure every child thrives. My sessions combine structure with flexibility, helping young learners build solid foundations in reading, writing, and maths that will support their future success.
