About Mary May

Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Teacher and a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I also have nearly five years of experience in the BPO industry, where I communicated with clients from diverse backgrounds and strengthened my English communication skills in real-world settings.

I believe learning English is more than memorizing grammar rules—it's about gaining the confidence to communicate clearly and naturally. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes without fear, and improve with every lesson.

About the lesson

I know that learning English can feel intimidating, especially if you're afraid of making mistakes. That's why my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you can practice without feeling judged. I believe that confidence grows through consistent practice, so I encourage my students to speak as much English as possible during our lessons.

I don't follow a one-size-fits-all teaching style. I take the time to understand why you're learning English and adjust our lessons to match your goals. Whether you want to become more confident in everyday conversations, prepare for work, improve your pronunciation, or simply express yourself more naturally, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

A typical lesson starts with a casual conversation to help you relax and build confidence. From there, we'll practice new vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and go over grammar only when it's useful in real conversations. I like using everyday situations, articles, videos, or topics that interest you because I believe English is learned best by using it, not just memorizing rules.

What makes me different is my patience and genuine interest in helping people improve. I understand how challenging it is to learn another language because I've experienced what it's like to learn new skills myself. I celebrate small wins, give honest feedback, and encourage you every step of the way. My goal isn't just to teach English—it's to help you feel comfortable using it in your daily life.
