About Padmalochana
Outside Quora, I mostly have professional relationships. In my personal life, I have only a handful of people whom I allow to be actively present. (That's my way of life) I share my knowledge and experiences mostly here on Quora. Sharing what I have in my mind makes me happy; it makes my knowledge worthwhile. When my experiences from an average yet not so simple life are cherished by other people, I feel good about my life. Whenever someone thanks me, or tells me that my words helped them, I feel high; I feel relevant to this world. I would be more than happy if people who follow my words or advice go ahead of me. In fact, I would feel proud of myself. Besides that, sharing knowledge helps in accumulating data in the form of information in my mind. I may know a lot about procrastination, but when I write about it, all the data gets converted into formal information. Sharing experiences helps me in reviving and cherishing the chapters of my life. And most importantly, sometimes I write about a topic, let's say ‘stress' to comfort myself or make myself understand a point. I write, and my points hit my own mind and relieve me. Sharing knowledge is the best way to revise what you know; it strengthens your knowledge. Sometimes, while explaining to others, you resolve your own doubts because you deal with a problem with a helping perspective and not out of stress. And most importantly, your knowledge doesn't go waste, it helps someone and boosts your self-esteem. Self-esteem in turn boosts confidence.
