I have an undergraduate degree in maths from Leeds and a business analytics masters from Manchester so I can help with the theory side of complicated mathematics or the practical uses in a setting such as psychology statistics, business studies or even learning to code!

Methodology can vary according to the student, personally for a new topic I would start with looking at the problems we are trying to solve, and try and learn why the answer is what it is rather than just relying on learning formulas without knowing where they come from. I like to start basic and make sure the students comfortable before building up the difficulty.
For topics where the student knows the basics but needs some help applying, I like to watch the student take me through the steps of solving the problem to identify the weaknesses and see where improvements can be made!
