I have built my own LAB for students and they can book for free to practice till they complete their classes. - Visual Aids: Diagrams, flowcharts, and animations clarify complex topics. I often use tools like Packet Tracer or GNS3 to simulate network scenarios. - Real-World Scenarios: I relate networking concepts to everyday situations. For instance, explaining IP addressing using postal addresses. - Case Studies: Analysing real-world network failures or success stories provides valuable insights. - Security Emphasis: Given the importance of network security, I dedicate time to discussing encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection. 2. Typical Length of a Lesson: The duration of a computer networks lesson can vary. However, I find that a sweet spot is around 1 to 1.5 hours. Longer sessions can lead to information overload, while shorter ones may not allow for in-depth exploration. During this time, we cover theory, practical exercises, and Q&A. 3. Qualifications and Experience: - Education: A tutor typically holds at least a bachelor's degree in electrical & electronics engineering - Certifications: Certifications like Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer, CompTIA Network+, or Juniper JNCIA demonstrate expertise. - Experience: I have been working as Network Engineer/Consultant/Architect in various sectors with Global work companies. - Teaching Experience: I have been teaching/mentoring college students, just passed out students and Professional where they want to start their careers in Computer Networks 4. Target Audience: Lessons can cater to various levels and age groups: - Beginners: Introductory courses for students new to networking. - Intermediate: More in-depth topics for those with basic networking knowledge. - Advanced: Specialised topics (e.g., routing protocols, network design) for professionals.
