About Jianchu
I’m an Electrical and Renewable Power Engineering student at QUT with a GPA of 6.6/7.0 and have received the Executive Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence three times. I also have experience supporting university students through peer learning and academic support roles. I especially enjoy helping students who are new to university and finding the transition challenging. My approach is friendly and straightforward—I break down difficult math, physics and engineering concepts without assuming you already know everything. My goal is not just to help you get the right answer, but to help you genuinely understand the fundamentals, build confidence and become comfortable solving problems independently.

My lessons are aimed at first-year university students who want extra support with maths, physics and introductory engineering subjects. I focus on explaining difficult concepts in a simple and intuitive way before working through problems step by step. I can also help with tutorial questions, exam preparation and understanding the reasoning behind equations rather than simply memorising formulas. My lessons are relaxed and can be adapted to each student’s level and what they are currently studying.
