About Scott
I am a certified 9-12 English teacher currently working in the Wausau area. My journey in education began because of a deep love for storytelling and a desire to help students find power in their own words. Over the years, I have worked with a diverse range of learners—from Honors students aiming for elite colleges to students in alternative education settings who are working to rediscover their academic confidence. I also have a master’s degree in At-Risk Education.
In my classroom, I’ve learned that no two students learn the same way. This is why I love 1-on-1 tutoring; it allows me to pivot my teaching style to match exactly how your brain works. I’m not just here to fix a comma or a typo; I’m here to help you develop a critical eye and a sense of pride in your work.
