About Jill
I am a very experienced Secondary School teacher who also has extensive experience as an on-line tutor. I have taught English as a Second Language online to students in China and Taiwan and have taught students in Canada online as well. I have 28 years experience as an in-person Canadian teacher and I know the Ontario Curriculum well. I also completed a Masters Degree in Education including a Thesis dissertation so I am very familiar with academic writing.

A typical lesson will start with a friendly conversation and a warm-up. Then we will move into an interactive lesson that teaches the skills you are looking to improve. I include visuals, slides and whiteboards for maximum interaction. There will never be a "lecture style" lesson in my class as I prioritize student participation. My lessons are for kids, high school or post-secondary students who want to improve their writing, reading or literature knowledge.
