About Mariluz

My name is Mariluz! Languages have always been an important part of my life and I hope to share them with you.

I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. My mother is from Germany and my father from Spain. As a small child, my mother tongues were German and Spanish, I only learned English in kindergarten!
I grew up speaking all three languages and my English improved through my schooling in the US - but at home I only spoke German and Spanish.

I moved to Spain for the 5th grade. My Spanish skills improved a lot there. After that we went back to Albuquerque, where I graduated from high school.

I've always been good at English and also took several courses at the university. In 2020 I won 2nd place in a local writing contest! I prefer to write about current topics that concern me, such as climate change or human rights.

I have lived in Kirchheim unter Teck for the last two years. Last year I passed the C1 certification in Spanish and this year I will take the Abitur exam at the technical high school - and I'm trying to learn French!

I am happy to share these great experiences with languages with you!

About the lesson

I like to give English and Spanish tutoring or lessons. Since I grew up with English and Spanish as my mother tongue, I can give competent language lessons.
I focus on conversation, but reading and writing are also important to me.
For students who need tutoring, I support them with their difficulties at school. The lessons are then structured depending on the school and learning plan.
I would like to offer new language learners the opportunity and the space to learn conversation without pressure in their comfort zone. That is why the lessons are designed in such a way that they fit into the personal context of life.
I attach great importance to the fact that the language to be learned is mainly spoken during the lesson.
My classes are ideal for anyone who wants to learn Spanish or English, or just wants to make their language more natural and fluent.
As someone who has achieved great success in English literature, I also offer advanced English classes for those who want to improve their writing skills.
