About Maira
Hi, my name is Maira Waqar!!
I graduated from Pymble Ladies College (Pymble) in 2023, studying the following subjects; Mathematics Standard, English Advanced, Society and Culture, Biology, Chemistry, and Drama. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University, following my interests in the Faculty of Arts.
My previous tutoring experience included:
1. Pre Uni Bella Vista
Tutoring groups of 15-20 students from 9:00am-1:pm.
Writing, Comprehension and Reading - Primary School Students (Year 3 and Year 5)
2. Private Tutoring
One-on-one sessions with students ranging from Year 7 to Year 12.
Provided feedback and support to students in the subjects English, Maths, Science.

By understanding that different students vary depending on their style of learning, expertise, and enjoyments, there are a range of strategies I implement to ensure success.
Method 1:
1. Answering exam-styled questions
2. Marking the question and providing feedback.
3. Working with the student through the feedback and question to ensure they understand where marks were lost.
4. Re-attempt Question.
Method 2:
I also provide students with strategies on how to avoid making silly mistakes which may occur during exams. This includes perfecting finishing work under time conditions, and skimming work.
