About Alex
I am a high school senior from the state of Georgia. I started taking Spanish lessons in 7th grade and continued taking Spanish all the way through level 5. Growing up in an area with a high volume of Spanish speakers, I recognize the importance of being able to speak this beautiful language. It allows not only for fluid, more efficient communication, but also for deeper connection and understanding across otherwise separated people groups. I hope to be able to impart to you the same understanding and ability to communicate with a whole new group of people.

I utilize a student-first approach, making sure to address any questions a student might have and continually checking in to make sure the student is following along with content.
A typical lesson involves a warmup activity that can range anywhere from filling in the blank to choosing the correct conjugation to answering a question. Every lesson focuses on a specific grammar point and its related vocabulary, with each lesson adding new vocabulary words.
I put heavy emphasis on correct pronunciation and use of accent marks. I believe both of these improve listening and reading comprehension and make the language easier to learn. By focusing on these aspects along with others, I intend to provide as complete an understanding of the Spanish language as possible.
My classes are for beginner to lower intermediate students (Spanish I through V), or anyone needing a little extra help (specifically with pronunciation or spelling/accent marks).
