About Gaia
The study method used in Italy is totally wrong. Before leaving for my first trip to England at the age of fourteen, I knew nothing of English and could not put together a sentence. Just two weeks after I was able to watch television, listen and interact in English-speaking conversations. I fell in love with this language and continued to go on these trips, improving my vocabulary more and more. For me, English has effectively become a second language, as I sometimes dream in English. I no longer watch a series except in the original language without subtitles. I would like to convey what learning English really means to my pupils, so that they too can feel free anywhere in the world and not trapped in the obstacles that different languages may encounter.

From personal experience, English needs a lot of conversation to be fully understood. It is important to combine grammar with 10/15 minutes of free conversation, so that the pupil can put into practice what has been previously studied and accustom the ear to a new language.
