About Mackenna
Hi! My name is Mackenna, and I am a dedicated high school student who enjoys helping younger students learn and grow. Throughout my own academic journey, I have developed strong study habits, effective learning strategies, and a passion for explaining concepts in ways that are easy to understand.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take a patient, encouraging, and personalized approach to tutoring. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence and help them develop a positive attitude toward learning.
As a current student, I can relate to the challenges that many children face in school. I strive to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. As a high school student tutor, I focus on making learning fun, engaging, and easy to understand. I believe that younger students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to learn at their own pace. I use simple explanations, relatable examples, and interactive activities to help students understand concepts rather than just memorize them.

A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson usually includes:
Quick Review (5–10 minutes)
Go over previous material and answer any questions.
Learning New Concepts (15–20 minutes)
Explain topics in a simple and engaging way.
Use examples, visuals, games, or practice questions when appropriate.
Practice Time (15–20 minutes)
Work through problems together.
Encourage students to explain their thinking and develop problem-solving skills.
Wrap-Up (5 minutes)
Review what was learned.
Celebrate progress and identify goals for the next session.
