About Deepthi
Hi, I’m Deepthi. I love reading and writing, and I’m passionate about making learning fun. I’m a huge fan of Jane Austen and have a little collection of Pride and Prejudice editions that grows every time I walk into an op shop. I also enjoy pottery and all kinds of music, from classical to heavy metal, emo, and bubblegum pop. I want my students to enjoy learning as much as I do. I bring energy, curiosity, and a love for ideas into every lesson, helping students build confidence, think critically, and develop skills that last. Whether it’s literature, essays, history, or any subject that involves reading and writing, I aim to make lessons engaging, approachable, and inspiring.

I lead with empathy and meet students where they are. I believe learning works best when it’s enjoyable and tailored to the individual. I love reading and writing, and I aim to inspire the same excitement in my students while helping them develop strong skills. I focus on: Breaking down tasks and assignments step by step Building confidence in essay writing, literary analysis, and research Making abstract concepts clear with examples and discussion Encouraging critical thinking and clear expression Lesson details: Typical length: 60–90 minutes, depending on needs Suitable for: High school students (including ATAR English and humanities), as well as university students needing support with essays, literature, social sciences, or research projects Qualifications: Two master’s degrees: journalism and international relations Bachelor’s in gender studies, minor in art history Extensive experience with English, literature, history, social sciences, media studies, art history, and academic writing Every lesson is tailored to the student’s level, interests, and goals, creating a supportive, motivating environment where learning is both productive and fun.
