About Louie

I try and be the teacher that I didn't have.
One that listens, adapts and works with a student, rather than dictating and instructing.
My work will be focused on you for the time that we have together and I always ensure that I am prepared for lessons with as many techniques and approaches as I can so I can deliver what is most effective for my student.

About the lesson

I am a student focused teacher, I will go through your schemes of work with you, highlight issue areas and work with you to find out how I can best support you to achieve the results you deserve and can be proud of. If you are preparing for GCSEs or A-levels, or want an advantage goin in to Key Stage 4 or 5 I am here for you.

Lessons are between 30-60 minutes and I am more than happy to break these into accessible chunks if required.

I have a BA(hons) in Sociology and History and a PGCE with a focus on History. I have 4 years of teaching experience in History, Geography and Religious Studies; with 2 years experience of teaching A-Level Politics. I have also had experience as a teaching assistant for students with SEND.

I have tutored in both the UK and Barbados and am a native English speaker.

Deadly! I would highly recommend Louie, he is a fantastic tutor for my son, relational, respectful, knowledgable and immediately connected with my son, listening to him, pitched the studying at exactly the right level, so knowledgable not only around executive functioning, but about the subjects , supporting my son to plan out a timetable, feel more confident in himself to manage his three a-levels. Deadly! Louie really helped my daughter with improving her Politics A level planning and revision. He helped her structure her answers better and was really helpful in building her confidence in taking her A level exams
