About Brandon

Hi! I'm a certified Social Studies teacher with a passion for helping high school students not just pass their classes, but truly understand and appreciate history and the social sciences.

I became a teacher because I believe history isn't just about memorizing dates and facts—it's about understanding how we got here and where we're going. In my classroom and tutoring sessions, I focus on making connections between past and present, helping students see why what they're learning actually matters.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I know that every student learns differently, so I customize my approach based on what works best for you. Whether you're a visual learner who needs timelines and graphic organizers, someone who learns best through discussion and debate, or a student who needs structured note-taking strategies, I'll meet you where you are.

Outside of teaching, I'm always learning myself—staying current on historical research, educational methods, and ways to make learning more engaging for today's students.

I'm here to help you succeed, build your confidence, and maybe even discover that Social Studies can actually be interesting!

About the lesson

As a certified high school Social Studies teacher, I know that history and social studies can feel overwhelming with all the dates, names, and events to remember. My goal is to make these subjects come alive for you.

I don't just help students memorize facts—I help you understand the stories, connections, and "why it matters" behind historical events and social concepts. Whether you're struggling with essay writing, preparing for exams, analyzing primary sources, or just trying to keep up with your coursework, I'll tailor my approach to match your learning style.
