About Liam

History was my favorite subject in high school, and I went on to study it at university and work in two historical organizations. I teach history to make it fun and relatable. Too often history is seen as just a series of dates, or irrelevant things that happened long ago. But history can be so much more. Exciting stories of determination and courage, mysteries still to be uncovered, a different world to immerse yourself in, or lessons still relevant today. If you struggle to understand history, let me help you connect with it.

About the lesson

I find ways for my students to connect to the past rather than just recite a list of dates. This helps them enjoy, and better understand, the subject material. I also have an innovative and fun way of teaching how to evaluate historical sources and the key differences between primary and secondary sources.
Lesson lengths can vary depending on student needs.
I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Glasgow and in addition to tutoring have worked for two historic organisations.
My lessons would best suit high school or college students.
