I recently finished my History undergraduate degree at the University of Oxford and I want to encourge other students to realise their full potential in this subject.

I am a tutor for Schools Plus, an organisation that aims to tackle educational inequality by matching sixth form students with university students from the local community.
As a tutor, I believe in the importance of providing balanced and objective feedback; feedback should never be overly critical and I strongly believe that every student has something important to say. I will guide students in the right direction to ensure their conclusions are well substantiated and will never lead a student to doubt their ability.
My approach to tutoring also includes fostering independent thought. I will point students in the direction of relevant articles and resources to help develop their pre-existing knowledge base further and to provide them with unique and interesting arguments. I can also give students effective advice on exam techniques to help them approach exam questions.
