As a personal friend and a classmate to Yuchen, i think everyone in the class(me included) has been more or less jealous of Yuchen getting constant accolates from our teachers. Indeed, as a young scholar who is excelled at critical thinking and essay-writing skills, Yuchen has been scoring the highest in our class all the time and proofreading my works since Year 1 and, much surprised, he managed to point out aspects that I overlooked that could potentially make my essay a better one. He has always been keen on giving detailed and thought-provoking advice for improving my studies and research, but also willing to promote independent thinking among his classmates during his work with them in the seminars and to have mutuallly beneficial intellectual exchanges; he is, foremost, an attentive and good listener.

His love of and dedication to history is unquestionable, evident in his shelves filled almost entirely with history books and his passion to read widely on history outside of our modules. As his teachers stated, he will make a really good future member of the academia and, in my view, an excellent tutor for all levels of students in Secondary education.
