About Octavia
I am an MA History graduate from the University of Edinburgh with avid experience in articulation of complex historical concepts in seminars and presentations. I received As and A*s for all my A levels, including History, English Literature, and Religious Studies so I am also able to offer lessons up to A level for the latter two subjects. Should a student wish to send me any essays to look over, I have much experiencing in proofreading and providing constructive feedback as a volunteer of University of Edinburgh's proofreading scheme.

Establishing a good relationship with my student is a priority of mine to enable me to cater to their learning style. I always make sure a student can fully understand what is being taught.
I believe one of the best ways to remember an argument or event for an exam is to create a unique summary of the relevant topic which triggers the memory to its finer details and complications. I aim to guide the student in developing these summaries.
In the case of both coursework and exams, I believe that writing style and presentation of argument is crucial. I intend to help my student develop their own writing style and to proofread and provide feedback to their pieces of work.
