About John
I have taught history for the last three years and enjoyed every minute of it. There's nothing like people start to take ownership of the subject and seeing their eyes widen.
I focus on taking people directly to the sources, and analysing them, biographies, objects and letters all bring the time to life until the boring stuff becomes the details that help it stick.
For more advanced students my experience writing for academic publications and presenting at international congresses might come in handy. Especially any working on medieval or military history or dealing with German language sources.

I work with all ages to boost enthusiasm and grades. I focus on making history fun and opening the curtain on what was really going. I have found that usually the difference between people that do well in the subject and those that don't comes down to having had an introduction to the subject that allows them to see the human side of history and how real people fit in. Let me help you start enjoying the subject.
