About Rafael

Hey there! I'm Rafael, a 27 years old french guy who lives in Canada for the last 3 years. I lived in Spain during my childhood so I also speak Spanish. I have a bachelor's in economics and a master's in Management from KEDGE business school in France. I've studied and worked in French, Spanish and English in Spain, France and Canada.

I've always been on the move, hungry to discover new cultures and landscapes. It goes without saying, I LOVE learning languages and therefore, teaching them too. I believe that learning the language of a place will make you discover the authentic culture and habits of the people of that place.

I pride myself as a very dynamic and friendly person. I'm not afraid of making the first move or starting a conversation. I am also very adaptable and naturally sense what others might be feeling and don't want to say. I would call myself an "energy-giver" always ready to help and empower my students.

About the lesson

As a Spanish tutor, my methodology focuses on a communicative and immersive approach. My goal is to create a learning environment where my students can feel comfortable practicing their French skills while also learning about Spanish culture. I put a lot of emphasis on making the lesson fun since I firmly believe that learning is easier if it's during a joyful moment.

In my lessons, I use a variety of materials such as videos, articles, and songs to expose my students to the authentic Spanish language and culture. I also encourage my students to speak as much Spanish as possible during our lessons, and I provide feedback and correction to help them improve their pronunciation and grammar.

My lesson plan typically consists of a warm-up activity, followed by a review of previous material, and then a new lesson or topic. During the lesson, I provide explanations and examples to help my students understand the material, and I also give them opportunities to practice what they've learned through activities such as role-plays, conversations, and exercises.

Throughout the lesson, I monitor my student's progress and adjust my teaching style to meet their individual needs. I also assign homework to help reinforce the material covered in class and encourage independent practice.

Overall, my aim as a French tutor is to help my students improve their communication skills in French and gain confidence in using the language.
