About Iris

I am a professional Language Teacher. I have worked in multiple contexts such as private universities, private lessons, language institutes. I have taught students of different ages, kids, teenagers, adults and elders. Teaching and learning languages is my passion and I love to teach and learn about foreign cultures. Being in contact with other cultures is one of the most eye-opening experiences you can have. Join me in this language learning journey!

About the lesson

The best way to learn languages is to use the Communicative approach. In every lesson my students get to speak the language focusing on real-life situations. In my class you will use the four language abilities, (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in order to be able to communicate effectively in Spanish. Don't be scared to make mistakes, I'll be there to help you get better every class.

Deadly! Iris is an amazing teacher! She meets me where I am in my materials and is very easy to schedule a meeting with according to you own schedule. She is also extremely understanding and communicative with what is needed to help me learn and grow as a Spanish speaker. Her lessons are always engaging and suited to what I need at the moment whether that be help on assignments or preparing for an exam. Her way of explaining the reasoning behind why something is phrased is also very easy to understand and has helped me to both learn and understand while feeling comfortable enough to ask questions and seem confused without judgment.

Iris is an amazing Spanish teacher! Very professional, whilst also being very warm and friendly. Learning a new language can often be very daunting, but she manages to make it a really fun experience!
