I had Yudith as a teacher when I visited Cuba during a field school. The amount of care, diligence and kindness Yudith showed while I was with my class was beyond my expectation. An example of Yudith’s care, was making sure our class of 20 students had meals every night. She took our orders for food and explained the dishes so well. An example of Yudiths diligence was her attention to making sure we got to our destinations during trip days on time and safely. I met Yudith through a volunteering program where students from Canadian Universities traveled to Cuba to immerse ourselves in the Cuban culture and engage ourselves in the community while practicing our Spanish language.
