About Ian
I'm a Network Engineer at Executive Fiber, an ISP serving Matuu, Machakos County, Kenya, where I've been the sole network engineer since 2024. I design, configure, and troubleshoot the infrastructure that keeps customers online, working mainly with MikroTik RouterOS devices. Running a network on my own has made me self-reliant, detail-oriented, and used to diagnosing problems methodically under real-world pressure.
I hold a BSc in Applied Computing from KCA University (2024). Outside my core networking work, I build websites and have developed automated trading tools for forex markets, which keeps my programming and analytical skills sharp.

I specialize in [computer science / IT / networking / web development / programming, edit to match the job]. I work professionally as a Network Engineer at an ISP, where I configure and troubleshoot live network infrastructure using MikroTik RouterOS. I also build websites and have developed automated trading tools, so I can teach these subjects with real-world examples rather than theory alone.
