About Sarah
I do have a BA in English. My favorite classes in college were about teaching reading to kids. But I think I learned the most homeschooling my kids. I also tutored reading and math for some of my friends' kids, as well as my nephew. When you find the right book, reading is no longer a chore, but a pleasure! I will do my best to help you find joy in reading. Or, at least, help it not be painful.

Are you feeling frustrated with your child's (or your own) reading ability? Everyone learns differently and at their own pace. No judgement here. We'll work together to find something that makes sense to you. I'm familiar with several different reading curriculums and am flexible based on what you have on hand already. I can also write my own lessons for you, if needed. I appreciate Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. We'll start off by finding out what the student's strengths and weaknesses are. Then, we will do some easy activities to help strengthen weak areas. Finally, we will practice. My goal is to have fun!
