About Ben
I'm currently a senior at Brandeis; most of my coursework is in politics and philosophy. I have hundreds of hours of experience as an English tutor and public speaking instructor, and I've worked with middle and high school students of varying levels (including Advanced Placement students). I've made Dean's List every single semester I've been at Brandeis; in high school I took thirteen Advanced Placement courses and achieved scores of 4 and 5 on all my AP exams.

I offer group lessons as well as one-on-one tutoring sessions. I'm most experienced teaching public speaking with large groups, and teaching English one-on-one. The manner in which I go about teaching public speaking varies almost entirely based on my student's experience. When I teach English one-on-one, I usually try to familiarize myself as best as possible with my student's assignment; for example, if a students is looking for assistance on a literary analysis essay, I will make sure to come to lessons having read all relevant sections of said book myself.

Details
I don't charge anything extra for traveling; my gas costs are built into my hourly rate.
I work out available available times with clients on a case-by-case basis.
I don't have a cancellation fee policy as I understand that cancellations need to happen from time to time. If a specific client demonstrates a behavior of regular cancellations then I will reconsider that policy with them specifically.
I prefer to work with high school English students, though am happy as well to work with middle school students.
